Baxi Balcony

This is the view off of the balcony at the place where Chandana grew up. We felt fortunate to get here since our taxi from the airport was not in the best condition and ended up breaking down about 20 ft. from the apartment. Posted by Picasa

Weird Perspective

This is a shanty alongside the road in Mumbai. The strangest thing about this picture is the perspective - look at the height of the woman walking in comparison with the motorcycle! Posted by Picasa

Where are we?

On our flight from London our seat backs showed real-time maps of where are plane was. I'm sad to say that my geography knowledge is so bad that sometimes I didn't really know where we were despite the maps.

London in December

John FINALLY burned me a CD of the pictures from our India trip that I had uploaded onto his computer. This is the first of many pictures from India that I plan on showing in my upcoming posts. Our route to India was Seattle to London to Bombay, with a 9-hr layover in London. Therefore, we decided to get out and see the town a little between our flights. London was very pretty, particularly with all of the Christmas lights up around town. Posted by Picasa

Go Elf!

This flower is actually about the size of my fingertip, so I am extremely impressed with my camera for capturing the actual pollen granules. :-) Posted by Picasa

Mountain Beauty

Flowers growing on the side of mountains that get huge amounts of wind and cold with very little water always impress me. Posted by Picasa

Jane & Stu

Jane and Stu are chatting before our hike. Jane, her husband Billy and Stu recently went to Tanzania for the dedication of the school that Stu and my grandmother helped build. While they were there, Stu (at 70 years) and Billy hiked to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Posted by Picasa

Dominoes

One of the evenings we "kids" embarked on a cut-throat game of dominoes. Left to right: Ian, Matt, Ann, Mary, and Dusty. Dusty is wearing the splint because he injured himself in a skateboard competition earlier in the day. Posted by Picasa

Bubba Gump

This is my uncle Joe standing outside of the Bubba Gump Shimp Co. Not really my kind of place, but would be fun if you are a big fan of the Forest Gump movie. At the end of our meal they had a Forest Gump trivia contest and gave Gump prizes to people who knew these useless pieces of info about the movie. Posted by Picasa

Father and Son

Here are John and his dad at breakfast in downtown Breckenridge. Everywhere we looked there was a scene that looked like a professional photographer's backdrop. Posted by Picasa

Grandma's Pearls

At the reunion my mom started a tradition of passing my late grandmother's pearls between the sisters of the family every reunion year. Here my aunt Sally is the current recipient. Posted by Picasa

Sibling Love

This is my uncle Dan being silly with Mimi. I love how my mom's siblings can still be fun no matter what age.

This year's reunion had a mandatory talent show. Here Patrick and Jenna can be seen performing their Star Wars rap. Posted by Picasa

Imperial Express

Here's a close-up of the world's highest chair lift. We had to hike up to it, but I imagine that when it's running in the wintertime it's quite a rush to ski down from that altitude. Billy can be seen leaving his mark. Posted by Picasa
